The Garden, consisting of twins Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, has always been pushing the limits of music with their unique approach to punk music. Their use of bass, drums, and electronic effects is unparalleled by many other artists on the scene, but their unconventional approach to music is what makes them so incredible. They have even created their own genre “Vada Vada” to describe their own sound since they do not fit into any traditional genres.

Lots of their music gives off an ominous, almost haunting quality due to the lack of treble sound due to the lack of guitar. The twins both have very deep voices which adds to this dark quality. Their punk influences are most clearly seen in the speed and skill of Fletcher’s drumming, which is incredibly impressive to watch live.

Each twin has their own side-project as well, Puzzle and Enjoy, each of which expand on the sounds that influence The Garden. If you want even more, try these:

  1. Slow Bleed by Danger Boy
  2. Confessions of a Genie by Cowgirl Clue
  3. All the Best by Puzzle
  4. New Balance New Moon by Enjoy
  5. Puppy Knuckles by the Frights
  6. Diamond Eyes by Inner Wave
  7. I’m in your Mind by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
