“Bridge” is a moody track off of Cheridomingo’s debut album Feelings, released last year. The music video carries on that same tormented emotion with the muted color scheme and the obvious internal turmoil of lead singer Anthony Avina. The band is seen playing in a clean white house, seemingly contrasting the darkness of the lyrics – which speak of unnecessary guilt and the loss of innocence.
Both about the burning of bridges and new beginnings, Avina wrote “Bridge” about the death of his former band and the personal guilt he felt for the loss of his relationships with those people. Although the inspiration for the song came from a dark time, it has now become one of the most popular songs for Cheridomingo.
“In a way that failure was necessary and led to something beautiful. There’s a really awesome magic in that,” said Avina.
